I was eighty years old when I discovered, to my surprise, that I had a modest gift for writing songs. While I had enjoyed some little success as a singer in my youth, (mostly singing duets with my talented wife, Jean), my musical background is meager at best and I cannot write the accompaniment for my tunes at all. Occasionally some kind and talented souls have written accompaniments for a few of my songs; but mostly they are written as simple melodies. If you should happen to be a real, honest to goodness musician and find one of my tunes inviting enough to arrange it for me, it would tickle me pink!
